One US soldier killed in Baghdad attack
One US soldier was killed and two others were missing after they were attacked at a traffic checkpoint south of Baghdad, the US military said.
Coalition forces were searching for the missing soldiers, who were listed as “duty status and whereabouts unknown,” the military said.
The soldiers came under attack at a traffic checkpoint south west of Youssifiyah, 12 miles south of Baghdad yesterday. A quick reaction force arrived at the scene after hearing small arms fire and explosions, according to the military.
