Russia remembers Belsan victims
A special ceremony will take place in Russia today to mark first anniversary of the Beslan school siege.
331 balloons will be released over the ruins of the old school, one for every victim of the massacre.
A minute’s silence will be held after bells ring to mark the exact moment of the first blast. A tree of sorrow will also be unveiled at a local cemetery.
Events have been taking place over the past three days to remember the victims, mostly children, who died after Chechen rebels took over their school.
