Rescuers seek helicopter crash newlyweds

Rescue teams resumed attempts to retrieve the bodies of British newlyweds and the pilot of a sightseeing helicopter they were in when it crashed in Spain’s Costa del Sol.

The couple and a Spanish pilot died yesterday when the helicopter crashed near the village of Istan in a mountainous area of Málaga province.

Rescuers managed to evacuate a Dutch passenger injured in the crash, but were forced to call off the operation as night set in.

The rescue team headed back to the sight of the crash to retrieve the three bodies, police said.

The British couple had decided to go sightseeing after getting married in the morning.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
