Six bodies found in Florida house

The bodies of six adults were found in a Florida house today after one of the victims failed to show up for work, and police said they were apparently murdered overnight.

The four men and two women did not appear to have been family members and had not been living at the house very long, Sheriff Ben Johnson said.

A dead dog was also found. Nobody was found alive inside the three-bedroom home in Deltona, about 25 miles north of Orlando.

The bodies were discovered after one victim’s co-worker called a friend and asked him to visit the home after the victim did not turn up to work, officials said.

Neighbour India Harris, 17, estimated four people lived in the house but said she only knew them well enough to say hello.

She said that, according to her brother, the residents were aged 18 to 30.

County records show the home is owned by a man who lives in New York.
