Bali bomb survivor became drugs dealer
A Bali bomb survivor was jailed today for selling drugs to fund a trip back to the site of the terror attack for a memorial service.
Duane Ronald Pearce, 29, was a member of the Kingsley Football Club which lost seven players in the October 2002 night club blasts on the holiday isle. The blasts killed 202 people.
Pearce admitted to possessing more than 1,200 ecstasy tablets and 21 ounces of cannabis with intent to sell them, after police searched his car and raided his home in Perth, Australia.
Judge Antoinette Kennedy jailed Pearce for three years, saying that despite his trauma, society would not tolerate drug dealers.
