Assassin testifies against Milosevic
Slobodan Milosevic was back in court today after a three week break to hear testimony from a former member of the dreaded Serbian paramilitary group known as the Red Berets, allegedly controlled by the former Yugoslav president.
Milosevic, acting as his own defence lawyer, sought to discredit the witness - named only as K-2 – by wringing an admission from him that he was involved in the highest-profile assassination since the end of the Balkan wars.
During cross examination, K-2 acknowledged his involvement in the 2001 murder of the Serb warlord Zeljko Raznatovic, better known as Arkan.
