Bali bomb injured flown to Australia
Three Balinese patients were evacuated to Australia today amid accusations that they had been left behind last weekend while westerners were given priority.
The three arrived at Denpasar Airport in Bali in separate ambulances.
Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) doctors treated them for an hour on the ground before allowing them on the plane.
The patients were flown on an RAAF Hercules to the Royal Perth hospital for treatment.
Earlier today, Australian Prime Minister John Howard was asked why all western victims were evacuated last Saturday in a matter of hours while it took seven days for these Indonesians to be flown out.
Mr Howard replied that all evacuation decisions had been left to the medical authorities.
