Girl injured trying to fly like Harry Potter

A four-year-old American girl is in a critical condition in hospital after apparently trying to fly on a broomstick like the characters in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, it was reported today.

Police in Shelby, North Carolina, told Local 6 News the girl crawled onto a kitchen counter, straddled a broom and then jumped off shortly after watching the film.
