The former commander of the Yugoslav army is on his way to the Netherlands today to surrender to the UN War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague.

General Draguljub Ojdanic decided to surrender rather than face possible arrest and extradition. 60-year-old Ojdanic was indicted by the War Crimes Tribunal in connection with atrocities committed by Yugoslav forces in Kosovo in 1998 and 1999.
