Moderate earthquake hits Afghanistan
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale shook a remote region in northern Afghanistan today.
The tremor struck at 5.39am local time and was centred about 125 miles north of the Pakistani city of Peshawar, in the sparsely populated Hindu Kush mountain range.
The quake was also felt in parts of Pakistan, but there are no reports of any damage or injuries.
