US bank evacuated over bomb threat

A bomb threat has forced the evacuation of Citibank offices in the Thai capital.

Hundreds of workers in the US bank in Bangkok streamed out of the high rise building into the street.

Citibank occupies most of the Saeng Thong Thani Tower, which has more than 30 floors and is home to several embassies and other banks.

A staffer at the embassy of the Sultanate of Oman says her office is preparing to evacuate as well, after being told to do so by the building manager.

Police say a bomb squad will search the building.
