Macedonian rebel chief announces withdrawal terms
Ethnic Albanian insurgents today said they planned to withdraw from a Skopje suburb next week, provided Government officials agree to their terms, a rebel commander said.
‘‘I expect the withdrawal to start in a week’s time,’’ a rebel spokesman, Commander Hoxha, said.
The rebels would withdraw from the village of Aracinovo, he said, provided they were able to keep their weapons, that they could leave peacefully, and that they could remain in the country, in Albanian-populated villages near the city of Kumanovo.
