Four children hurt in Bury air rifle attack

Four children have been taken to hospital after they were shot with an air rifle at their school.

Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested after the shooting at Elton High School, in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Two of the victims had wounds to their backs, one had a chest wound and the fourth had an arm wound.

The victims were taken to Bury General Hospital's casualty department where they were treated for pellet wounds.

Police found an air rifle after searching the area.
