Bush sets out 'son of Star Wars' plan

American president George W Bush was today setting out his plans for a missile defence system dubbed ‘‘son of Star Wars’’.

The controversial system is aimed at defending America from nuclear and chemical missiles fired by so-called rogue nations such as Iraq, North Korea and Iran.
