Paris attack gunman laughed as he taunted victims
The three heavily armed jihadists who attacked the Bataclan on November 13 also warned terrified concertgoers cowering on the floor that “anyone who moves will be killed” — and in some cases, they were true to their word.
The chilling accounts survivors told to investigators are the latest to emerge from the sprawling probe into the most deadly of the coordinated attacks on the French capital claimed by the Islamic State group.
Ninety of the 130 people killed were killed at the Bataclan.
A 10th person has been arrested over the attacks and six others have been detained for questioning over a suspected plot to stage new attacks in Brussels.
Law enforcement officials said there is no known connection between the two investigations, but they highlight the role of Belgium as a hotbed of Islamic radicalism in Europe.
Authorities said a Belgian national born in 1993 and identified as Ayoub B has been charged with terrorist murder and participation in the activities of a terrorist group for his suspected involvement in the November 13 attacks in Paris, claimed by Islamic State (IS).
Nine people in Belgium had already been arrested in connection with the attacks.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office also said six people were brought in for questioning and seven searches carried out yesterday morning in parts of Brussels.
Authorities in the city earlier cancelled planned New Year’s Eve fireworks amid fears of an attack.
