Runaway war veteran gets 2,500 cards for 90th birthday
Bernard Jordan went missing a few weeks ago from his nursing home in Sussex.
A missing persons investigation got underway after the elderly man left without telling anyone where he was going.
Twelve hours later, a younger veteran called to say he had seen Mr Jordan on the way to D-day commemorations in Normandy, he was even wearing his medals underneath his mac.
The veteran's story has captured hearts all around the world.
Brittany Ferries, who he traveled with on his trip across the channel, have offered him a free trip to Normandy every year for the anniversary.

The company stated: “We adopted him as an honorary veteran and we will give him free travel to the Normandy beaches for the rest of his life.
“We owe him a huge debt and it was our way of paying him back, he’s a marvellous guy.”
