Attack marked

SPANIARDS held solemn ceremonies to mark the seventh anniversary of an Islamic terrorist attack that left 191 people dead on the Madrid commuter rail system.

In central Puerta del Sol square politicians placed a laurel wreath at a stone plaque created in memory of the dead and the nearly 2,000 people injured in Europe’s worst Islamic terror attack on March 11, 2004. They then observed a few minutes of silence.
