Boy emails school bomb threat

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy who demanded a £30,000 (€36,000) ransom after he threatened in an email to kill a woman teacher and activate a bomb was given a youth referral order, it has emerged.

The anonymous message sent to the school’s head teacher was read the next morning by staff who then alerted police.

It stated that a bomb was planted in the grounds of the school in Blackburn, Lancashire, and warned that a named staff member would be made “permanently unavailable”.
