Mother held after telling police she ‘did not want her children’

POLICE arrested a 29-year-old woman after she reportedly told emergency operators she did not want her children any longer.

Chiefs in Arizona said an emergency call was received on Friday from an 11-year-old boy who said his mother was packing and moving to California and was not taking him or his six-year-old brother with her.

Police spokesman Sergeant Mark Ortega said the boy’s mother, Christina Muniz, came out of the house and told officers that she was “sick of her children” and wanted the police to take them so she could “have fun and play”.
