Brittany Murphy husband dies

THE British-born husband of late actress Brittany Murphy has been found dead.

The body of screenwriter Simon Monjack was discovered at his Hollywood Hills home.

Eight Mile and Clueless star Murphy, 32, died in her husband’s arms in December.

An inquest found she died from pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anaemia and multiple drug intoxication.

Coroner’s officials said Murphy had gone into sudden cardiac arrest because of “drug intake” and her December 20 death was classified as an accident.

She married Monjack, from north London, in a Jewish ceremony in LA in May 2007.

Los Angeles police yesterday confirmed the death and said the preliminary cause was “natural causes”.
