A SENIOR Conservative MP has apologised after he was secretly filmed saying that MPs have been forced to “live on rations” in the wake of the parliamentary expenses scandal.

Alan Duncan told an environmental campaigner that members had been “treated like s**t” after a clampdown on their allowances.

“The last thing people want to hear is an MP whingeing about his pay and conditions,” he said in a statement.
