Thatcher may leave hospital

The 83-year-old was admitted to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, west London, on Friday after injuring herself in a fall at her London home.

She will be seen by doctors today, who will decide if she is well enough to return home.

Her spokesman described her condition yesterday as “comfortable”, adding: “She will be in hospital at least until Monday when doctors will reassess her condition.”

Earlier her son, Mark Thatcher had said she was in “good spirits” after paying a brief visit to the hospital.
