Cliff: My sexuality no one’s business

BRITISH pop star Cliff Richard is “sick” of media speculation about his sexuality, according to excerpts from his autobiography.

A British newspaper yesterday printed details on his friendship with a former Roman Catholic priest.

Richard shares his home with John McElynn, who has been identified as a native of New York City. The relationship has not been secret.

However, the 67-year-old singer comments on the relationship in his autobiography, entitled My Life, My Way, but also insists that his sexuality — a topic of enduring interest to some — is no one’s business. In the book, Richard says McElynn looks after his properties.

“He has also become a companion, which is great because I don’t like living alone, even now,” the star said.

“As for my sexuality, I am sick to death of the media’s speculation about it.”
