Neighbours march on Seymour manor over noisy parties

MORE than 50 neighbours invaded Jane Seymour’s country manor yesterday in a protest against all-night parties in their idyllic valley.

The former Live and Let Die Bond girl, 56, upset residents in the vicinity of her St Catherine’s Court home, near Bath.

Neighbours who marched through the £5 million (€7.34m) estate to deliver a petition were greeted by the estate’s manager, Hein van Vorstenbosch, who offered them tea and coffee, served by the star’s butler.

Protesters say delivery vehicles have clogged up the single-track lane near the mansion since she was granted a 24-hour alcohol and entertainment licence in June, and concerns have been voiced over the safety, noise level and legality of Seymour’s business.

“It is not a personal vendetta — but we are very annoyed,” said local resident Alan Randall.

An appeal against the licence is being processed by Bath magistrates.
