Jackson faces selling the Beatles’ songs he owns

The King of Pop is in so much debt that financial advisers have reportedly suggested he sell off his most valuable asset in order to pay off mounting legal bills and operating costs piling up at his Neverland ranch.

Jackson co-owns the publishing rights to 251 Beatles songs with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The material is believed to be the most valuable collection in the world, generating €62 million in royalties a year.

If Jackson sells, all of his debts would be paid off, including some €209m in bank loans.
