Star Wars trooper leads Top 10 movie blunders
The moment in which a stormtrooper almost knocks himself out when he bumps his head on a door frame came top of the 10 most memorable film faux pas.
The blunder scooped 31% of the vote and comes one hour and 18 minutes into the film.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s film Commando had the second-highest number of votes (18%) for the oversight that saw the action star trash the left-side of his yellow Porsche only to drive it away soon after in perfect condition.
Following closely behind with 13% was the classic mistake in the blockbuster Gladiator when a member of the production crew appeared in jeans behind Russell Crowe in full Roman attire.
Drew Barrymore’s blurring of reality with fiction in Charlie’s Angels was voted fourth best blunder with 11%.
While the feisty trio are fighting the “Creepy Thin Man” Barrymore tries to get Lucy Lui’s attention by calling out “Lucy” even though her character’s name is Alex.
In fifth place is the scene in The Matrix where Neo’s mouth is sealed while he is interrogated by Agent Smith.
In sixth place with 8% is the scene where Spiderman comes to rescue Mary Jane from four muggers. Two of them are thrown through two windows which are shown after without a crack.
A numerical error in Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines - got 4% of the vote putting it in seventh position. In Harry and the Philosopher’s Stone 3% of sharp-eyed viewers voted for the scene where Hermione can be seen standing behind Harry mouthing his lines. A sartorial inaccuracy in Black Hawk Down gets 2% of the vote. Finally, with 1% of the vote, a criminologist in The Rocky Horror Picture Show identifies the date as “a late November evening”.
Later a car radio broadcasts the resignation of President Nixon, who resigned in August 1974.
