Prince Rainier in hospital

MONACO’S 81-year-old ruler Prince Rainier has been admitted to a hospital with a chest infection and is expected to require a few days of treatment, the royal household said yesterday.

Prince Rainier, who has been in and out of hospital in past months, was admitted yesterday to a heart and chest clinic due to a “bronchial-pulmonary infection”, a statement said.

Father of three Rainier, whose film star wife, Grace Kelly, died in a car crash in 1982, has a history of heart problems.
