Bray come from behind to defeat Cobh Ramblers

Bray Wanderers moved three points closer to the summit of the First Division with a come from behind victory over Cobh Ramblers at St. Colman’s Park.
The home side took the lead through an Anthony Adenopo goal. Paul Heffernan’s side replied with Jamie Duggan and Ifunanyachi Achara hitting the back of the net.
The result cuts the gap to Cork City at the top to 14 points, and extends Bray’s winning run to five games in all competitions.
The Ramblers were in a different position after losing their last four, and things started with a Rhys Gourdie pass being turned in by Adenopo in the 14th minute.
It was an even game from that point, played out in midfield as both teams fought for possession.
Bray created the better of the openings, and eventually a free-kick was turned in by Duggan for the equaliser in the 24th minute.
It was 1-1 at the break and the game restarted with a rising strike from Rhys Kelly Noonan going over the bar.
The Ramblers also won a corner during this promising spell, and this was headed wide at the back post by Adenopo after Breandán Frahill knocked the ball on.
Bray soaked up the pressure before setting up Ifunanyachi for the winner in the 80th minute, a cross that was fired in from close range.
