Liverpool trigger contract extension for Alisson as Slot urges Reds to drive to season's end

Liverpool have triggered the 12-month option to extend goalkeeper Alisson Becker's contract.

The Brazil international signed a five-year deal in 2021 with the clause added in to make it more straightforward to tie him down for longer, and the Press Association understands the club have now exercised that option.
