Fans travelling to and from Dublin after the World Cup Qualifier between Ireland and Hungary this weekend will encounter changes to usual routes if they intend to get to Dublin by train from Cork.

Due to engineering works between Mallow to Cork, Limerick to Limerick Junction, Sallins to Portarlington and between Portarlington to Athlone some service alterations and amendments will occur.

Saturday's 9pm Heuston to Cork service will see bus transfers from Dublin to Portarlington with a train departing from Portarlington at 10.15pm to Mallow only. Passengers headed for Kent Station will need to avail of a further bus transfer between Mallow and Cork. There's no special late train planned.

Fans are advised to find alternative travel options.
