Republic of Ireland international Ellen Molloy has left Sheffield United and returned to Ireland 'for personal reasons', the English club have announced.
Molloy joined the Blades from Wexford back at the start of September after returning to form in the Irish Women's Premier Division.
Molloy scored 39 goals in the League of Ireland since making her debut as a 16-year-old in 2020 and she recovered from a serious injury to secure a move to the English Championship side.
But on Friday afternoon, United confirmed in a statement that Molloy has agreed to a mutual termination of her contract which will allow her to return home.
"Sheffield United can confirm Ellen Molloy and Charlotte Wardlaw have both left the club ahead of the second half of the Barclays Women's Championship season.
"Molloy has returned to Ireland for personal reasons after the club agreed to a mutual termination of the midfielder's contract, while defender Wardlaw has been recalled by parent club Chelsea."
