The League of Ireland have announced that the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division promotion/relegation play-off are to be shown on national free-to-air TV by Virgin Media for the first time.

The critical game will be broadcast live on Friday November 10. This will be the seventh game Virgin Media will broadcast in 2023.

The match will be contested by the ninth placed team in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Divison and the winner of the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division play-off series with the tie determining who takes up the position in the top flight for the 2024 season.

Cobh Ramblers are up first when they take on Wexford in the opening game of the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division play-off series. Second placed Waterford will take on fifth placed Athlone Town.

The winners of these games will face each other for a place in the Promotion/Relegation play-off which will take place on Saturday November 4 and will be live on LOITV.

Cork City and Sligo Rovers are in a battle to avoid ninth spot with the Bit O'Red holding a six point advantage with three games to go in the Premier division.
