Wales chief Noel Mooney: ‘The time is right’ for UK and Ireland bid to host World Cup

Limerick-native Mooney’s arrival in Cardiff comes at a time when a feasibility study is assessing whether the UK and Ireland will go ahead with an attempt to host the 2030 World Cup.

Former FAI general manager Noel Mooney says the "time is right" for the UK and Irish to mount a bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

The Limerickman recently joined the Welsh FA in July as their chief executive after spending 10 years at Uefa where he worked with all 55 European federations in his role as head of strategic development.
