Steven Gerrard: MK Dons job came too soon for me

Former England and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard admitted he spoke to MK Dons about their vacant manager's role but felt it was too soon for him to take the job.

Gerrard, who left the Los Angeles Galaxy earlier this month, held preliminary talks with the Sky Bet League One club, who have been without a permanent manager since Karl Robinson was sacked on October 23. Caretaker manager Richie Barker is currently in charge of the side.
