Ireland secured a vital three points after a 1-0 win against Georgia but the performance was far from impressive.

In typical fashion, social media did not hold back with what it thought about the game.

Here's how the internet saw the game.

Before kick off Eamon Dunphy was not impressed with the team selection.

Shane Duffy's choice of jersey number was questioned early too.

The opening 20 minutes didn't impress.

Almost 40 minutes gone and there was a shock for fans.

The first half finished with no added time and nobody very impressed.

David summed it up nicely.

The second half started much the same until the 56th minute when Seamus Coleman somehow got a goal.

Two minutes later Ireland had scored again only to have it ruled off for offside.

And moments later McClean went close again.

But it wasn't long until the first half mood returned.

Some found the fourth official more entertaining than the football.

Back on the pitch, there was concern for Robbie Brady after he clashed heads going for a header.

Although people were amused at the amount of bandaging the Georgian defender got.

In stoppage McClean almost came close again as he rattled the crossbar with a header.

Mercifully, after seven minutes added time, the ref blew it up with Ireland securing a vital 1-0 win in a fashion that was anything but impressive.
