A very kind gesture from Carlisle United after Storm Desmond havoc
Carlisle skipper Danny Grainger has led efforts to help people affected by the aftermath of Storm Desmond in Cumbria.
The League One side were 5-0 victors in the FA Cup at Welling on Sunday, meaning they were out of the area that was hit hard by flooding over the weekend.
Almost 60,000 people in the north have been left without power and Electricity North West confirmed that the majority face shortages for “a number of days” as it works to fix further faults caused by the flooding.
