Van Persie given United all-clear

Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa are both expected to feature for Manchester United against Wigan at Old Trafford tomorrow.

The duo returned from international duty with thigh and back problems respectively, but trained this morning and Alex Ferguson expects them to be involved.

Ryan Giggs (600th Premier League appearance), Paul Scholes (700th United appearance) and Rio Ferdinand (400th United appearance) all stand on the brink of milestones, but Wayne Rooney (thigh), Chris Smalling (broken metatarsal) and Phil Jones (knee) are all out.
