Fergie reluctant to enter January sales

Alex Ferguson is reluctant to make a rare foray into the mid-season transfer market despite Manchester United’s growing injury list and shattering Champions League exit.

Ferguson has signed players in January before, including Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra, who were both recruited shortly after they were last turfed out of UEFA’s number one club competition at the group stage.
