Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini restored most of the players who had started last weekend’s 6-1 win at Manchester United for the Barclays Premier League home clash with Wolves this afternoon, although Mario Balotelli was only named as a substitute.

Mancini made eight changes from the 5-2 Carling Cup win over Wanderers in midweek, with Aleksandar Kolarov, Samir Nasri and Edin Dzeko the survivors from that game and the likes of Joe Hart, Yaya Toure, David Silva and Sergio Aguero returning to the team.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy made six alterations from the cup tie, striker Kevin Doyle one of those keeping his place and midfielder Jamie O’Hara among the men coming back in.
