Late fightback not enough for struggling Bray
Bray Wanderers 1 Drogheda Utd 2
Well-taken goals late in each half from Dinny Corcoran and Philip Hand earned Drogheda their first back-to-back wins of the season this evening.
For Bray, their freefall continues as they slumped to a sixth defeat in seven games.
Drogheda were the better side from the start and Corcoran headed them in front on 41 minutes after good build-up play involving Lee Lynch and Tiernan Mulvenna.
Left-back Hand added the second goal on 81 minutes, rifling a stunning cross shot past Matt Gregg after Bray failed to properly clear a free-kick.
Substitute Dan McGuinness gave Bray hope when prodding home a Dean Zambra cross on 90 minutes, but Drogheda held on for a fully deserved win.
