Brown set for Sunderland medical

Manchester United defender Wes Brown is expected to have a medical at Sunderland this evening as manager Steve Bruce edges closer to another summer signing.

It is understood the 31-year-old has travelled to Wearside and will have the checks with a view to completing his move within the next 24 hours.
