O’Connor the hero again for Bray
Bray Wanderers 2 Drogheda United 1
Danny O’Connor, a match winner at Shamrock Rovers last week, proved Bray's inspiration once again as Pat Devlin’s side moved up to fourth place in the table tonight.
Midfielder O’Connor headed home John Mulroy’s cross after six minutes to give Bray the perfect start.
It got even better three minutes later when left-back Dane Massey added Bray’s second with another header from skipper Gary Dempsey superbly flighted free-kick.
Bottom of the table Drogheda were given hope on 82 minutes when Darragh Hanaphy beat Darren Quigley with a fine solo effort.
But Bray held out for a fourth win in seven games, their best ever start to a Premier Division campaign.
