Tevez in frame for City return

Carlos Tevez is back in Manchester and in contention to make his return to Roberto Mancini’s side for the visit to West Brom on Sunday.

The captain’s return from Argentina, where he had been battling a thigh problem as well as homesickness is a boost for the under-fire Italian, who has now overseen successive defeats to Arsenal, Wolves and Lech Poznan.

Yaya and Kolo Toure did not travel to Poland as a precaution but should be fit, while Aleksandar Kolarov could be in line for just a second Barclays Premier League appearance after recovering from a lengthy lay-off caused by an injured ankle.
