Wolves’ record signing Kevin Doyle will return to the squad for Sunday’s Barclays Premier League derby with Birmingham at Molineux.

A £6.5m summer capture for Mick McCarthy, Doyle was rested for the game at Chelsea last weekend following his exertions with the Republic of Ireland during their World Cup play-off with France.

Full-back Ronald Zubar could also be back in contention for the meeting with Alex McLeish’s side.

The former Marseille player missed the trip to Stamford Bridge with a thigh strain suffered in training but has responded to treatment.

Wolves (from): Hennessey, Hahnemann, Stearman, Zubar, Craddock, Berra, Castillo, Halford, Edwards, Henry, Surman, Jarvis, Doyle, Ebanks-Blake, Kightly, Keogh, Elokobi, Milijas, Foley, Maierhofer.
