Last-gasp win for Derry
Bray Wanderers 0 Derry City 1
Gareth McGlynn hit a 90th minute winner as Derry finished their week on a positive note by leapfrogging Cork City into third place in the table.
After being told yesterday that they would receive just one week’s pay for last month, Derry showed morale remained good as they took the three points from the Carlisle Grounds.
Having struck the Bray woodwork twice through Eddie McCallion and Mark Farren, Derry finally broke the deadlock in the final minute.
A long ball into the home area wasn’t dealt with and Ciaran Martyn flicked it on to fellow midfielder McGlynn who headed past Chris O’Connor for his fourth goal of the season.
