Draw for Setanta Cup postponed

The Football Association of Ireland and the Irish Football Association have agreed with Setanta Sports to postpone the draw of the 2009 Setanta Sports Cup, scheduled to take place on Thursday June 25.

This draw has been postponed at the request of Setanta Sports.

In the interim, a meeting has been arranged with participating clubs in Dublin that afternoon.

It comes after news that the Scottish Premier League announced it was ditching Setanta and looking for another television partner.

Disney-owned ESPN has taken over the two remaining Barclays Premier League rights packages formerly held by the troubled sports broadcaster.
