Tevez plays despite want-away comments

Alex Ferguson has placed his trust in Carlos Tevez for this afternoon’s Manchester derby despite the striker’s admission that he is almost certainly leaving Old Trafford this summer.

Wayne Rooney is on the bench for Manchester United and Rio Ferdinand misses out altogether, so Tevez was handed a starting slot along with Jonny Evans, Rafael and Dimitar Berbatov.
