Little called up by N. Ireland

Rangers striker Andrew Little has been drafted into the Northern Ireland squad for the home World Cup qualifiers against Poland and Slovenia.

Little, 19, is promoted from the under-21 side with his Ibrox team-mate Kyle Lafferty and Burnley’s Martin Paterson ruled out through injury.

Lafferty was due to miss the Poland game on Saturday through suspension but will also sit out the Slovenia match the following Wednesday because of an ankle problem.

Paterson, meanwhile, will remain at home to have treatment on a hamstring injury.
