Rangers defenders Madjid Bougherra and Kirk Broadfoot both face late fitness tests ahead of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Hearts.

Rangers defenders Madjid Bougherra and Kirk Broadfoot both face late fitness tests ahead of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Hearts.

Bougherra missed last week’s Co-operative Insurance Cup final defeat to Celtic with a calf injury, which is still causing slight concern.

Broadfoot was able to take part in the clash at Hampden but is struggling with a foot injury.

David Weir misses out through suspension, meaning Lee McCulloch, Christian Dailly or Andy Webster could be drafted into defence.

Provisional squad: McGregor, Whittaker, Bougherra, Edu, Papac, Davis, Mendes, McCulloch, Ferguson, Aaron, Lafferty, Miller, Boyd, Broadfoot, Alexander, Dailly, Novo, Beasley.
