A Kuwaiti investment group are continuing negotiations to invest in Liverpool, with representatives set to meet co-owner Tom Hicks “within the next two weeks”.

A Kuwaiti investment group are continuing negotiations to invest in Liverpool, with representatives set to meet co-owner Tom Hicks “within the next two weeks”.

Hicks and George Gillett purchased Liverpool in February 2007 but their relationship has since deteriorated and, with a £350m bank loan required to be repaid or refinanced in the next four months, an investor or outright buyer is being sought.
